Office chair repair
built for call centres.
Fixed on-site.

Call centre seating runs harder than almost any other office environment — multiple agents per chair across shifts, near-continuous use, and a fleet of identical chairs that tend to fail around the same time. I carry the parts, come to your floor, and get agents back in their seats without pulling a whole row out of rotation.

Why call centre chairs fail faster than a normal office

Agent seating in a call or contact centre typically sees far more daily seat-hours than a standard office chair — often across two or three shifts on the same seat, sometimes 24/7. Gas lifts, tilt mechanisms and castors are the parts that wear from repeated use, and they're exactly the parts that fail first under that kind of load.

Because most call centre floors buy chairs in a single bulk order, the whole fleet tends to be the same age and the same model — which means when one gas lift starts sinking, several more from the same batch are usually not far behind. A single on-site visit to check the floor is often more efficient than waiting for chairs to fail one at a time.

Every failure I carry parts for

Most chair failures come down to five components. I stock genuine replacements from my ISA supplier catalogue — over 130 SKUs covering every major chair type used in South African offices.

Gas Lift Replacement

The most common failure in a busy office. The pneumatic cylinder loses pressure and the chair drops mid-use. Under 20 minutes per chair.

Most common repair

Castor Replacement

Broken castors scratch floors and are a trip hazard. I match stem type to your base and swap the full set — hardfloor castors available.

Quick, visible fix

Mechanism Repair

Tilt mechanisms that lock, lean, or lose tension. I assess whether it needs adjustment, lubrication or full replacement.

Extends chair life significantly

Armrest Repair

Cracked pads, loose frames, jammed height adjustment. Standard pads carried; replacements fabricated for common models.

Comfort and ergonomics

Seat Foam Replacement

A collapsed seat is an ergonomic problem. I recut foam to spec and recover if fabric is sound — otherwise that's an upholstery job.

Ergonomic impact

Chair Base & Frame

Cracked bases, bent star bases, loose column connections. Replacement bases carried for most seat-column diameters.

Replacing a call centre floor is a five-figure decision. Repairing it usually isn't.

A call centre floor of 30, 50 or 100+ chairs is a serious procurement decision to replace outright. Most of those chairs aren't actually at end of life — one or two components have simply worn out from heavy multi-shift use.

"You don't need to replace the floor because a batch of gas lifts wore out at the same time. You need the parts that actually failed."

What call centre facilities and ops managers ask before booking

Yes. I can schedule a visit around your quietest shift, a specific pod, or after-hours, so you're not pulling agents off the floor mid-shift to get chairs fixed.
Often, yes. Chairs bought in one batch tend to hit gas lift and castor wear around the same age. It's usually worth a bulk on-site check of the floor rather than logging each chair as it breaks — I can quote a fleet visit rather than one-off callouts.
In most cases yes — gas lifts, castors and mechanism work are done chair-side, on-site, so there's no need to remove the chair from the workstation.
I can, once we've done an initial visit and I know the state of your fleet and how it wears — WhatsApp me and we can talk through what makes sense for your floor size.
